The book is quite well written but is just not my cup of tea. I cannot tell you exactly what put me off except maybe the details of the digs.The book is part historical and part murder mystery. The first murder came early in the book but nothing more was written about it for quite some time. This put me off a bit also.
The grammar was well done and the story mostly flowed well. If you like historical fiction with a murder mystery, you will probably like this book.
I give this a solid 3 out of 5-star review.
